Away at the cottage

My little family just got back from a few days away at my Mom's Indiana lake cottage.  The dogs enjoyed being outside all day long, swimming sunbathing and kayaking.









We camped, cooked hot dogs over the campfire, explored the interconnected lakes and creeks by kayak, watched the Great Blue Herons, Leather Back Turtles and Deer go about their daily business and relaxed by the water.  It was a wonderful little break from city life and I can't wait to do it again.  I'm feeling refreshed and still smelling the lingering campfire in my hair.

Making New Work for Renegade Austin

I'll be headed down south to the massive state of Texas next weekend for the first time.  I'm super excited to see what Austin is all about and be selling my work at Renegade.  I'll have tons of new pieces and some of my good ol' best sellers.  I've also made some work in brass so you get the look of gold but it's much nicer on your pocket book :)

I've been working on some pieces that share small bits of wisdom that are meaningful to my life.  
When I remember to do these things I feel that I am a better person and I enjoy this life I am living.
  I want to pass them on to you.  
The words are hidden on the back of each piece so they are touching your skin and are meaningful for you alone.

Studio News and Upcoming Events

I'll be exhibiting the 7 pairs of earrings below in the upcoming Earrings Galore Show in Toronto and Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, curated and exhibited by Heidi Lowe Gallery.
 The earrings will be for sale along side many great contemporary jewelry artists! More info. on the show coming soon.








April 19th - July 13th: I'll be exhibiting some new OOAK pieces in the upcoming group show The Nature of Jewelry at the Guenzel Gallery in Door County Wisconsin.

April 13th: Matthew Campbell Studio and Gallery in Greenville, SC will be hosting a Trunk Show to show case some of my new pieces and celebrate his recent move to a new and improved gallery space.

May 18th and 19th: Look out Austin here I come! For the first time I'll be visiting Texas to sell my jewelry at Renegade Austin.  I'm planning on spending a few extra days exploring the Texas hill country and finding inspiration...so very excited!

July 18th, 19th and 20th: I'll be teaching a three day workshop at the Peninsula School of Art in July...Patterns in Nature.  Find more details here

I'm also working on trying to set up a space where I can teach private lessons and host small workshops locally in Chicago...stay tuned.
