The more you wear your silver jewelry the less tarnished it will get...so wear away!
Make sure your jewelry is the last thing you put on..after makeup, lotion, hair gel, etc.
When not wearing your silver jewelry store it in an airtight ziploc bag to help slow the tarnishing process and prolong the life of the original finish.
If your silver is oxidized DO NOT use a polishing cloth, silver cleaner, etc. it will take off the blackened finish. If you need to clean off any lotion or dirt use warm soapy water and a soft bristled tooth brush.
To give your piece a little shine put a very small amount of dish soap and water on an old toothbrush and brush gently (being very gentle around pearls).
If your jewelry has pearls or stones you can shine it up using a polishing cloth (such as a sunshine polishing cloth or a silver polishing cloth from Walgreens, Target, or your local jewelry store). Just rub the silver with the cloth and voila!
